I am excited to lead the CDS staff in creating a safe and nurturing learning environment that will push students to think critically about the world around them. I began my teaching career as a middle school math teacher at a public school in Washington, DC. After spending two years teaching math at Country Day School, I returned to DC and have since worked as an instructional coach, graduate-level course instructor, and elementary school principal. I completed a Master of Arts in Elementary Education from Trinity DC and completed my principal training through New Leaders. I also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business with a concentration in Marketing from Temple University.
Family is also a very important part of my life. My husband, Ronald and I have two sons. Mateo is 2.5 years old and Tiago is 5 months old. We like to spend our weekends hiking, riding bikes, and visiting new places. Our family is also a big fan of fresh fruits and dark chocolate.
I’m excited to return to CDS as the elementary principal and look forward to partnering with families to provide an amazing education and school life for students!
