A move to South East Asia offered an opportunity to start teaching in a classroom. While living in Malaysia and teaching at Mont’Kiara International School, I completed my teaching license program and received my license through the State of Florida. I spent two years teaching at Singapore American School, the highest-rated American school in Singapore. After accepting an opportunity to move to Costa Rica and CDS, I am continuing my career with the excellent staff, students, and family at CDS with the goal of establishing CDS as one of the best math programs in Costa Rica.
A continual theme in my career is teaching and helping others develop critical thinking skills. One of the greatest joys that I experience is the “Ah-ha” moment when the person that I am helping finally masters a problem or issue that has been perplexing them. I am very grateful for the opportunity to teach students and to be part of the CDS family.
Aside from teaching, I am an instructor and practitioner of martial arts and am pursuing a second-degree black belt in Choi Kwang Do. I enjoy the outdoors; golfing, gardening, and especially time in and near to the ocean.
My wife and I have two daughters that attend high school at CDS. We are avid travelers and have enjoyed the opportunities to explore the areas that we have lived. Costa Rica has a plethora of things to offer and I look forward to growing personally and professionally in the extraordinary environment.
