I then moved to North Carolina and attended Greensboro College for alternative licensure in middle grades science while teaching both English and science classes. I decided to make the leap to international teaching after 9 years stateside and had the pleasure of teaching in Brazil for three years. Currently, I am working to finish my Master’s in Multidisciplinary Studies from S.U.N.Y. Buffalo.
Teaching is one of the most incredible soul building professions one can take on, and I enjoy the constant cycle of adventure and learning that it brings to my life. It makes me especially grateful when I have the opportunity to work with students with learning differences because I enjoy seeing the different ways of thinking that my students present.
I consider myself an outdoor person, especially when it comes to mountains, and if my nose isn’t in a book I am outside somewhere finding some nature to enjoy. Costa Rica has so much to show me and I look forward to growing from the experience both personally and professionally.
