Ann McPheeAnn McPhee

Regional Managing Director, North America
Board Member since August 2016

Ann currently serves as the Regional Managing Director of North America. She is passionate about the work she undertakes with schools and thrives on the interactions with education professionals, children and students.

Ann received her Masters in Education at Kingston University and brings over 30 years of experience in the education industry to Nord Anglia Education.  Ann McPhee has lived and worked in international schools in the US, Qatar, UAE, Germany and the UK. Before joining Nord Anglia Education, Ann was the Group Director of Education for the World Class Learning Group (WCL), overseeing the education standards and leadership in international schools around the world. She is also highly qualified in developing schools’ leadership teams.

 As a member of the Nord Anglia Education team, Ann focuses on providing guidance and support to our schools  in North America.

Raquel CastañoDr. Raquel Castaño

Academic Director of EGADE Business School
Board Member since August 2012

Academic Director of EGADE Business School in Monterrey, and former Director of the Master in Marketing Program and Associate Director of the undergraduate major in Marketing at Tecnológico de Monterrey, Campus Monterrey.

She heads the research chair: "Glocalization, Understanding the Latin American Consumer" and received the best teacher Award from Tecnológico de Monterrey in 2005 and 2009

Dr. Castaño holds a Ph.D. in Marketing and a Master in Management with Specialization in Marketing by the University of Tulane. As well as a Master in Marketing, Master in Business Administration, and Bachelor in Marketing by Tecnológico de Monterrey Campus Monterrey. Member of the ISR community since 1992, her two sons are ISR Alumni. 

Isidro MartínezIsidro Martínez

EVP Commercial Banking
Board Member since August 2012

Has been a member of the ISR Community since 1990. Three of his four children are ISR Alumni.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering, from Universidad La Salle, México City; and a Master of Science in Management, from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

He is currently EVP Commercial Banking for Scotiabank in the northern region of México. Previously he was in charge of the Monterrey office of the Banco Latinoamericano de Comercio Exterior, and for over 20 years, he held several executive positions at Banco Nacional de México (Banamex) in areas such as Corporate Banking, Commercial Banking and Mortgage Banking. He is a member of the Advisory Board of Fianzas Monterrey. He was a member of the Executive Commission of the Nuevo León Mexican Banking Association, where he served as Vice-Chairman, Treasurer and Secretary.

María Jose PinedaMaría José Pineda

Academic Director - Prepa Tec
Board Member since August 2012

Academic Director at the High School Vice-Rectorate at Tecnológico de Monterrey, and former High School Principal at Campus Eugenio Garza Sada, Tecnológico de Monterrey.

She is a member of the EXANI Technical Committee at the CENEVAL, and she represents the Tecnológico de Monterrey in the Red Nacional de Educación Media Superior ANUIES. She has worked at the Tecnológico de Monterrey for the last 26 years where she has coordinated and participated in projects related to High School Curricula Design and Implementation and Educational Innovation.

She has a Master in Education and a Bachelor in Human Resources Administration from Tecnológico de Monterrey. 

Member of the ISR community since 1992, her two sons are ISR Alumni.

Arturo BarahonaArturo Barahona

Deputy Medical Director
Board Member since September 2016

As a Medical Doctor, he conducts private practice as General and Laparoscopic Surgeon since 1995. For several years Arturo successfully occupied top management positions at renowned local hospitals; since 2016 he works as Deputy Medical Director at Hospital San José and Zambrano-Hellion.

Arturo has been an ITESM Undergraduate and Postgraduate professor since 2004.

He supports Social Programs, as Fundación Santos y de la Garza Evia (FSGE). Helping people in high degree of helplessness who need medical care. 

In his spare time he enjoys Spinning, Jogging, Racket ball, hiking, barbecue grill and stone oven cooking.

Arturo has been an ISR Community Member since 1998. His three sons are ISR Alumni.  

Juan Carlos CostalesJuan Carlos Costales

Board Member since September 2016

Juan Carlos is an executive with more than 25 years of experience in the commercial and manufacturing industry, particularly in sales, finance and operations. 

While working in CEMEX (18 years) he lead DD & PMI in several countries; he was a key contributor to " The CEMEX Way" and to the overall globalization of the company. 

As PMO for Whirlpool México, he leads a local project achieving the global goal of saving 2 billion USD. 

For three years, Juan Carlos served as an undergraduate professor at Tec de Monterrey.  Nowadays, he owns and directs a small trading company in the Food Industry. He is also a business consultant that focuses in the execution of key business processes, as: Change Management, Strategic Operational Planning, Budget Integration and Control, Projects Execution, Business Development, Administration, Sales, and Continuous Improvement.

Juan Carlos has been an ISR Community Member since 2000. His three sons are ISR Alumni.
