This is just our fourth ever graduating class, and a distinguished group it was. It is appropriate that we take a few moments over the course of the next few days to celebrate them.
The class of 2019 was known for dedication to their studies. The IB results that have been predicted for them would make them the strongest group yet at our school. We will find out those results in July. They also received the highest amount of scholarship money offered, over 2.4 million dollars. I believe that this group was well served by their teachers and their school, nurtured and challenged to reach for their best. I believe they are grateful to their school for accompanying them on this path. I want to thank the whole team of MET teachers and staff who helped them along the way.
Now they embark on the next big step in their young lives and we expect great things to come. This group will continue their studies all over the world, at impressive universities such as the University of British Columbia, Georgetown University, William's College and the University of Virginia to name a few.
They have enriched our lives and left their mark on the MET. Congratulations Class of 2019!
