About MET Innovation Camp
Through different activities in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics), campers aged 9 through 13 will take a journey through science and design by applying technology to explore concepts, implement the design process and scientific method to test their ideas, and work collaboratively to create innovative solutions to problems.
2020 Courses
3D Modeling and Printing
At CAD camp, your child will be learning to breathe life into their creativity using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) sofware used in several industries ranging from woodworking to aerospace engineering!
MET campers will learn how to break down real-world objects and design structures into 3D shapes, and then print them with our 3D printers to bring their ideas to life!
Robotics and Programming
MET Campers will learn the principles of coding and explore it through programming robots like Dash & Dot, Sphero, Ollie and LEGO Robotics. Your child will program robots to complete different tasks and solve problems, while building the foundations of computer science and coding.
Art Exploration
Campers will survey the world of art to learn about the artistic traditions of different cultures throughout history! Woven into this course’s curriculum will be sewing and embroidering, to further explore different mediums of artistic expression. Your child will learn history and culture while developing their skills and expanding their cultural understanding of cultures around the world.
Flight and Aerodynamics
Your child will take to the skies and explore the thrills of life at 30,000 feet with dynamic, hands-on flight-based activities.
Campers will build and pilot hot air balloons, parachutes, gliders, planes, helicopters and rockets, all while examining abstract physics concepts such as energy conservation, buoyancy and the forces of flight.
