Primary FOBISIA Games in Penang, Malaysia Trials

Dear Regents Parents,

It is that time of year again when we move our focus to the upcoming Primary FOBISIA Games in Penang Malaysia, in May 2016. The first step of preparation is to select a FOBISIA squad, therefore we will be holding trials from Monday 23rd November until Thursday 10th December in order to help us determine a primary team.

This time around the trials will be predominantly held during PE lessons, this is to ensure we have as near to full capacity participation as possible from all primary pupils. We will also be using ELP time to assess the players and using these performances to help inform our selection.

Bearing this information in mind we would urge parents to alert us if you DO NOT wish your child to be considered for selection. I understand there may be a host of various reasons as to why parents do not wish their child/children to go to the FOBISIA Games, so please let us know if this is the case.

The estimated cost of this FOBISIA Games trip to Penang Malaysia, will be in the region of 20,000 – 25,000 THB.

The successful participants will be issued with a letter on Friday 11th December to take home to parents to open and deliver the news of their success.

Attached below is a schedule of the trials which will also be shared with all the children from Y4-Y6. As always I welcome any queries you may have and I hope we will have a large number of children competing in the trials, in a bid to be selected to attend these very special and momentous games.

Kind Regards

David Collins
