Year 3 Teacher, Helen Ball talks about the exciting week the Explorer group children have had: "The children have participated in lots of fun water based activities and have particularly enjoying a multitude of sensory play opportunities. They have also had the opportunity to create some beautiful sea creature crafts whilst developing their fine motor skills.  Moreover, the children have had the opportunity to visit the local aquarium and Ramayana water park where they had so much fun playing in the water, sliding down the awesome slides, and splashing around in the paddling area. The children are really looking forward to next week where they will develop their cooking skills. They will start of by making some spaghetti and then bake some tasty cookies. Delicious treats await us!"

The Voyagers showed off their artistic talents with abstract painting, creating shadow art, making jellyfish ink art, decorating pictures, creating under the sea window collages and making their own nature book. They used their creative minds to build and decorate their own kites using recyclable materials which they all were able to take out to fly around the oval. In an exercise to relax, the children learned different yoga poses and got to practice their flexibility and posture. With the strong Thai heat, everybody was glad to visit SnowLand at Harbor Mall – an indoor play area full of snow and ice. The children enjoyed sledding, building their own snowmen and creating shapes with the snow.

Our Year 4 Teacher, Kevin Higgins would agree that our older group of students have had quite an adventurous time: “It's been another wonderful week with the Pioneers at Regents’ 2017 Summer School. On Monday, we had great fun at Jump Excel where the children showed off their athletic prowess on trampolines. They also challenged themselves on a wipe-out obstacle course which required considerable balance, dexterity and strength. On Tuesday and Wednesday, we were in school, where there were some epic games of dodge-ball and fun on the badminton courts. Thursday we were snorkelling with Mermaids, where the children got to enjoy the beauty of the shallow coral reefs around Sattahip. There was plenty of clown fish (Nemo) to be seen as well as breath-taking coral reef plant life. Roll on week 3!”
