Head Students Osman Tatrokov and Saliha Rehanaz are getting ready to travel across continents to the city of New York, where they will attend the UN’s High-Level Political Forum next week.

This event exclusively invites just 87 Nord Anglia Education students world-wide to become ‘NAE Ambassadors’ who will participate in workshops, seminars and debates throughout the week under this year’s theme: “Eradicating poverty and promoting prosperity in a changing world.”

Osman and Saliha will represent Regents to show politicians what our school is doing to combat the UN’s Global Goals for sustainable development – the focus of NAE’s 2017 Global Challenge. Impressively, Osman is just 1 of 8 students globally who will be performing a speech at the forum; and is the only one from a school in Thailand.

Head Boy Osman expresses his excitement towards his upcoming trip:

“ I feel incredibly honoured and thankful to Regents and NAE for giving this opportunity to speak my mind and share the ideology of our school in front of such important organization as the United Nations. It is amazing to see that NAE provides students with the chances to attend world-class conferences around the world.

There are a lot of different activities planned for the duration of our trip; The Global MUN, which is a professional debate club available to students, The solemn dinner at our arrival and possibly the departure, the excursions around New York City; Finally, the United Nations High Level Political Forum, where I will be presenting in front of the delegates of the United Nations, representatives of different countries, the Chief Executive Officer of Nord Anglia Education Mr Andrew Fitzmaurice, the Executive Director of UNICEF Anthony Lake and the President of the United Nations General Assembly Peter Thomson.

I am looking forward to share more information upon my arrival to New York City!”
