World Children’s Day— a day for children, by children — see how our students got involved!

Nord Anglia students around the world celebrated World Children's Day on 20 November 2018 to raise their voices to address some of the most pressing questions facing the planet.

These events are part of UNICEF's World Children's Day campaign to raise awareness of children's rights. More specifically, students will aim to raise awareness and challenge people to take action on the UN Sustainable Development Goals, which encourage us to play an active role in making the world a better place by 2030. The call to action also coincides with the anniversary of the adoption of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.

This year, 24 of our teachers and senior leadership team members handed over their role and responsibilities to students for the day.

Our Head Girl took the position of Principal and our Head Boy took the role of Head of Secondary. From security issues to deciding how much budget should be allocated to professional development, both spent the day experiencing the day to day responsibilities of 2 of the most senior positions in the school, taking on some tough challenges.

All of the Primary leadership team handed their roles to Year 5 students who did a sterling job of leading the Primary school for the day. Students took over roles in the Sports, English, Maths, Science, Humanities, Art and Computing departments.

At Regents we are very proud to partner with UNICEF and take part in these campaigns to raise awareness for important causes.
