Regents is one of the first schools in the world to benefit from the complete Juilliard-Nord Anglia Performing Arts Programme, including music, dance and drama.

Delivered exclusively to Nord Anglia Education (NAE) students, the Juilliard-Nord Anglia Performing Arts Programme has NAE teachers working together with Curriculum Specialists from Juilliard to enhance the way the performing arts is taught at our school and to promote excellence, inspiring your child to engage and connect with music, dance and drama at a deeper level.

Sarah Osborne-James, School Principal at Regents, said "The addition of Dance to our curriculum this year means we now offer the full Juilliard-Nord Anglia Performing Arts Programme. This reflects our vision to think beyond a traditional education and to transform the learning experiences of our students, equipping them with the skills they will need to have a successful and happy future."

The performing arts are creative keys that can unlock your child's imagination and significantly transform their education. Learning music, dance and drama has wide-reaching benefits, providing our students with the tools to think creatively, innovate, and appreciate diverse cultures and backgrounds. Several studies show that students who participate in the performing arts achieve more academically, paying dividends in the classroom and preparing them for success now and in the future.

As part of the programme, Juilliard curriculum specialists and artists frequently visit our schools around the world to bring excellence into the classroom and ignite the love of the arts in our students. Their expertise, combined with our exceptional teachers, will have a positive impact on your child’s experience and connection to the performing arts.

Juilliard curriculum specialists are experienced educators and artists who have expertise in The Juilliard Approach to Classroom Instruction, teacher collaboration and Juilliard Creative Classroom resources. In addition to supporting our teachers to successfully implement the enhanced curriculum, curriculum specialists engage teachers, students and the school community by co-leading workshops with teachers for parents and school staff, providing professional development opportunities for teachers, coaching student ensembles, leading rehearsals and class discussions.

We are delighted that Stephanie Cunningham, a Juilliard curriculum specialist for Drama, will be visiting Regents again on 24 and 25 January to work with our Drama teachers and students. Stephanie is a theatre director and arts educator. As an artist she works to promote theatre as an accessible art form and tool for social change. She holds an M.A. in Theatre Education from Emerson College and an M.F.A. in Directing from the New School for Drama. She is a Drama Curriculum Specialist at The Juilliard School, faculty at The New School University, and is the Artistic Director of Wide Eyed Productions.

Stephanie herself speaks of her excitement to be coming back to visit our school:"I am thrilled to be returning Regents to continue our work together. During my visit this time we will be working on igniting personal artistry for students through traditional storytelling and curiosity about the ways drama can be explored in cinematic techniques."
