Michelle Howie

Head of Year 1

Michelle holds a BSc(Hons) in Psychology from the University of Wales, Bangor and and a PGCE from Oxford Brookes University.

She has six years of experience as a class teacher and has held leadership roles in both British and international schools. Her career began in Watford, outer London, where she taught for three years, taking on many whole school initiatives before expatriating to begin teaching internationally.

She moved to Ho Chi Minh City in 2012 to work in Regents sister school, British International School, HCMC. Michelle taught here for three years. After teaching in Year 3 and Year 1 and taking on a whole campus leadership role for Outstanding Learning and Teaching, she moved to Dublin, Ireland. Here, she not only taught as a private tutor across the primary age range but also set up a successful photography business.

Michelle moved to Thailand in 2018 and feels extremely privileged to be part of the Regents community. Outside of school she enjoys spending time with her husband and friends, taking her camera out to creatively capture the world around her and taking part in many water-based activities such as scuba diving.
