Kazimierz Michalak

Kaz Michalak

Head of Primary EAL

Kaz has extensive experience working as an EAL and EFL specialist. He holds a PGCE from the University of Nottingham and has previously headed the EAL department at one of our sister schools in China.

Before moving to Thailand, he worked in China as an EFL and EAL teacher. He was the first head of EAL at The British School of Beijing, and was officially recognised by Nord Anglia Education for his work in this role.

In addition to a deep love of teaching English as an Additional Language, he has a strong background in music. He has worked as a Primary Music teacher, and spent 9 years in the UK working as a freelance lutenist and guitarist. This work took him to many cities and countries, and kick started his interest in working all over the world.

He and his family love living in Thailand, and find the local culture fascinating. His wife is from China, and he has two children, aged 3 and 8, who are both studying at Regents and are being brought up bilingually. They all love eating Thai food in local restaurants, soaking up the sun on the beaches around Thailand and visiting Bangkok to see historic temples and glitzy modern shopping malls.
