English Teacher / Head of Year 9

Vilochana holds a  Bachelor's degree in English Literature and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership, both from The University of Warwick in England. She acquired Qualified Teacher Status through the Teach First training program and has been teaching for 7 years.

Prior to joining Regents International School Pattaya, I lived and taught in South London. I particularly enjoyed coordinating and delivering initial teacher training across schools in the Croydon Hub. Before this, I taught in Birmingham and as an Aim Higher Coordinator, ran a range of extra-curricular activities including Debating and Storytelling; a highlight was seeing students compete in the Houses of Parliament in Westminster!

In my spare time, I love reading Victorian and Post-Colonial literature, visiting art galleries and watching a spot of cricket. I am currently compiling recipes for a Sri-Lankan cookery book and a recent personal achievement was learning how to ski!

I look forward to working with such a diverse group of staff and students in this beautifully sunny and leafy setting in Thailand!
