All of our Early Years children shared a scrumptious breakfast with their mums and dads earlier this week, before moving into classrooms where they proudly showed off what they could do in their lessons. Parents had to join in too! This was our second Stay and Play session and both days were really well attended by parents. It was lovely to see lots of happy faces from both children and adults and clear enjoyment of the morning.
Further up the school, Year 6 also got to show off their learning today as parents came into school for their ‘Out of Africa’ Exit Point. The Year 6 students had turned, what is usually the Hive into a Hive of Activity, with displays of their work and activities that visitors could participate in. The students were also very eloquent in their explanations of what they had learnt and introducing the displays. Well done, Year 6!
In fact we have been saying well done to lots of our Primary students this week, to the point where our Thursday assembly yesterday became a Celebration Assembly with all the certificates we gave out. Along with our regular Star of the Week awards, it was also a pleasure to present certificates to everyone who participated in the Global Campus Virtual Choir last week, and the winners of the UN Sustainable Goals posters that was launched last Friday. You can see the winning posters displayed in the primary school, so do come and take a look. Our Head Boy and Head Girl, Kai and Jana, also announced the weekly winners of the primary challenge. It is great to see the students so engaged in achieving our weekly challenges. Our School Council will have to come up with a few more!
Wishing you a lovely weekend.
