Reception Class Teacher
Robyn qualified with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at KwaZulu Natal University, South Africa. She continued with the University of South Africa to acquire a PGCE and subsequently an Honours degree in Psychology, specialising in child development. Robyn is also a qualified Learn to Swim instructor.
After ten years of various interesting work experiences, including cruise ships and London adventures, Robyn taught English in Taiwan for a year. She then returned to South Africa and taught Reception in Cape Town for seven years until arriving in Shanghai in 2015.
Robyn has been with NAIS Pudong for three years teaching the Pre-Nursery class. She is excited about moving into Reception in the new year. The move to Shanghai has provided an insight into Education trends globally and Nord Anglia University has provided Robyn with further understanding and techniques to effectively teach young international students.
Robyn and her husband have two daughters at the school. They have been travelling to many interesting places, with a mutual interest in different cultures and religions. Growing up in South Africa has nurtured and facilitated a passion for learning about animals and they visit animal parks and diving locations around the world whenever the opportunity arises. China has provided an amazing gateway to satisfy this curiosity.
