Carla Hambleton

Carla Hambleton

Year 3 Teacher

Carla has worked at a school, just outside of Greater Manchester, for the last three and a half years since she graduated with a BA Hons Primary Education form Edge Hill University. In this time, she has taught in both Year 3 and Year 6.  She found working in these year groups equally exciting and rewarding for different reasons. In Year 3, she enjoyed teaching a range of new concepts that excite, engage and challenge children in a stimulating and nurturing classroom environment. In year 6, Carla enjoyed the challenge of bridging any gaps in knowledge, getting the children to achieve their goals (academically and personally) and preparing them mentally and physically for their next step of their learning journey. She is excited to be teaching Year 3 again and looks forward to being a part of the school community and providing opportunities to the students at NAIS.

Carla made the decision to join NAIS Pudong because she was ready for a new challenge in an amazing new environment. She is excited to work in a completely unique cultural setting with new people and immerse herself in the wonderful lifestyle that Shanghai has to offer. Carla’s drive and ambition encouraged her to explore the world more – to see how teaching differs in other parts of the globe and to learn adaptability in her teaching strategies. She loves the ethos of NAIS Pudong and how the teachers promote a lifelong love of learning.
