Our Winter Wonderland is Back

15 January 2014

After a few bumps and hurdles the Winter Wonderland is finally here! We will be holding the event which had to be postponed in December, on Saturday 25 January, but this time there is a twist!

The event will now also be celebrating Chinese New Year.

The day will be full of fun and festivities including a Dragon Dance by our primary students, games, arts and crafts, food and a bouncy castle! Not only will it be a thoroughly enjoyable day, but the proceeds from the event will go to the Indochina Starfish Foundation, a great charity which supports street children in Phnom Penn.

Bake sale

The bake sale is back and we want it to be bigger than ever! If you’d like to contribute to the bake sale, please fill out this form and return it to school. If you previously had offered, someone will get in touch with you shortly.

For those more competitive bakers among you, the Great Christmas Bakeoff has been transformed into The Great Chinese Bake Off: a Chinese twist on classic baking. If you are interested in being crowned BISS Puxi’s best baker, then get baking, the prizes are really worth getting excited about! Email PTA@bisspuxi.com if you’d like to enter. A big congratulations to our winner of the pre-Christmas mini bake off, Gabriel Barrere 7I.  Prizes will be given out at the Winter Wonderland.

Tickets

If you do not yet have tickets, please complete the order form that can be found on the website and post in the box at reception, along with a cash payment by Tuesday 21 January. Tickets can also be bought on the door.

Tickets already issued are still valid and due to the postponement of the event, refunds will be available if you can no longer attend.  Please send tickets back to school in an envelope addressed "Winter Wonderland REFUND" by Tuesday 21 January.  You could also sell your tickets to another family, or donate the purchase price to the CAS charity in which case you don’t need to do anything further.

Basket raffle

Baskets will be back on display the week before the event in the secondary school foyer.  Tickets will be available to buy from outside primary during afternoon pick-up from 20 January (weather permitting) and at the event.  Prices start at just 25rmb for one ticket, and 100rmb for 5 tickets.  You choose which basket you wish to win, but it's not so easy to decide!

Parent involvement

The PTA are helping with this event and we’d really appreciate help from parents either before, during, or after the event.  If you would like to be involved, please email PTA@bisspuxi.com.

We are looking forward to seeing you all there!
