Buildings Tall and Strong

08 October 2014

This term Year 2 are learning about buildings and Head of Year 2, Phoebe Davies, explains what they've been doing this week.

  • Year 2 students at the British International School Shanghai making buildings
  • Year 2 students at the British International School Shanghai making buildings

On Wednesday the children worked in groups to build the tallest and strongest structure that they could out of recyclable products.

During this activity the children learnt how to collaborate and work as a team, as well as what makes a strong and stable structure. Everyone had a lot of fun and the experience has given the children the enthusiasm to find out more about buildings.

The Year 2 Team would like to say a big thank you to the parent volunteers that came in and helped the children with the construction process, as well as all the parents who provided us with the resources!
