Year 4 & 5 Art Exhibition

18 March 2016

Parents and children from across the school were given the opportunity to come and view a piece of artwork from children in Years 4 & 5 this week.

Each child had chosen a piece of work that they were particularly proud of from term 2.

The Year 4 artwork was linked to their topic this term ‘Active Planet’. During this topic, children were given the opportunity to learn about volcanoes as well as developing their printing and collage skills. They also learnt about the artist Kandinsky through the Global Campus Featured Artist area.

The Year 5 artwork was linked to their ‘Silk Road’ topic. The children learnt different water colour skills to produce their own hanfu designs as well as creating intricate silk paintings.

Their artwork looks fantastic and will be on display for the remainder of the term. If you haven’t had the opportunity to view the exhibition yet, you’re welcome to view the work outside of Stage 1.
