Year 4 Learning Showcase Active Planet: Volcanoes & Earthquakes

25 March 2016

The students of Year 4 welcomed their parents to showcase the learning they have been discovering and creating in Term 2.

  • Year 4 Learning Showcase

The students were very proud to show their ‘Learning Journals’ and to engage their parents with challenging activities including constructing earthquake proof structures from marshmallows and cocktail sticks.

The event was a success celebrating the parent-child-teacher triangle that we value at BISS Puxi.

Here are some quotes from some of the students involved.

I enjoyed cutting lino with my mum and the chance and opportunity to show her how well I am doing in school.” Sixten Salje 4B

“It is a chance to talk and work with your parents in school. “ Agastya Garg 4B

“I like teaching your parents, that you have learnt in school.” Elise Van Himbergen 4B

“ A chance to develop ideas” Casper Rozman 4B

“It’s a way to show your parents how creative you are.” Shuhan Lin 4B
