Junior Mathematicians Shine in Prestigious Competition

18 May 2016

Last month around 100 students from Years 6, 7 and 8 took part in the UKMT Junior Mathematics Competition (JMC).

  • Maths Award

Results are in and our students have once again performed fabulously.

Certificate winners are up by nearly 56% from last year with 15 students winning the Gold certificate, 23 students winning the Silver certificate and 32 winning the Bronze Certificate. That’s an impressive performance from our students and reflects the high quality teaching and learning opportunities we provide for our students.

A special mention goes to Hugo Noublanche who got the ‘Best in Year’ award for Year 7. Natarsha Yan not only was awarded the ‘Best in Year’ award for Year 8 but also secured the ‘Best in School’ award - a fantastic achievement. Gabriel Treneman led the way in Year 6, scoring an impressive 85%.

Our three top performers, Hugo Noublanche, Natarsha Yan and Gabriel Treneman will now proceed to the next round – the Junior Olympiad.

We are proud of all our participants and certificate winners.
