Year 4 Heading in the Right Direction

08 June 2016

As part of the ‘Explorers’ topic, Year 4 this week explored the use of compasses for direction.

Having learnt how to find north using the compass, they headed out into the playground to put their skills to good use.

The children paired up and directed each other around the playground and football field, guiding themselves towards landmarks whilst utilising the directional vocabulary all of the time.

I wonder if they can explain how to use a compass to an adult at home?
