Across the three days, they pushed themselves to the limit and faced many challenges, all of which they overcame and faced as a team.
Some of the highlights included the leap of faith where the children had to climb to the top of a pole and jump to catch a suspended trapeze.
"My best moment was the leap of faith because I felt proud, even though my legs were shaking like jelly." Jason Guo 5I
"It was so fun, we want to do it again" Jacqueline Yan 5I
Kayaking was also a magic moment for the children. They had to develop strength and balance to improve their paddling technique. Once they had mastered this they then applied these skills to play a variety of water based games. After all of the excitement they cooled down with a dip in the lake!
"It was my first time to go kayaking. It was a bit scary but once I got on it was great!" Takeru Ishihara 5S
"Kayaking was the best because we got to swim and play games in the kayaks. We had to paddle all by ourselves." Maren Van Baelen 5I
"I felt really nervous, but I pushed myself to the limit. I'm really proud of myself." Chloe Noublanche 5U
"On the low ropes we had to be balanced and be really careful. I was relieved and amazed! I did a great job". Carson Leung 5U
"I'm most proud of getting across the low ropes even though I lost my shoe!" Mica Walsh 5P
The children grew in confidence and it was wonderful to see them encourage and support each other.
A big thank you to the Indier staff, the teachers and learning assistants and the parents for all of your support.
