Upcycle Art challenge day 1!
Thanks to our parents, staff, student and the local community we have collected a large source of plastics that we will recycle and incorporate into our artworks.
Today our artists have begun their design work using inspiration from Chinese and Japanese seascapes, contemporary assemblage sculptures and imagery of ocean scenes.
Here are some snaps to show their design thinking process and their creative fingers at work! Good luck artists!
Upcycle Art challenge day 2!
Our incredible artists have refreshed overnight and come back for day 2 of the art challenge. Today our talented students are constructing sculptural forms of ocean life in plastic and subtly incorporating them into the design of their canvas. I’m sure the artists would agree that time is whizzing by! We have taken some ‘in action’ shots of them busy in the creative design process. We look forward to celebrating their efforts in an exhibition coming to the secondary campus soon!
