Bravo! Bravo! Little Shop of Horrors at BISS Puxi

It has just been two weeks since the Little Shop of Horrors project came to an end – yet staff, students, and parents are all still buzzing from the incredible show which has received wonderful feedback!

BISS Puxi passionately believes that every young person should be entitled to a high-quality Performing Arts education, and with our Juilliard collaboration we are constantly looking to create new and exciting opportunities for our students. We are proud of every single student involved in Little Shop, and hope that we have inspired more students to get involved in future productions at the school.

Please enjoy reading some of the students’ favourite moments – and enjoy some more photos from the show!

The amazing actors, singers, musicians and teachers who made this all possible! The way we all came together to create fantastic life long memories. Ruby, Year 8

My favorite moments were every dance rehearsal as there was always some laughter, but we also managed to stay focused and learn the choreography, which (for me) made it very enjoyable and fun. I feel that if you’re having fun it also impacts on the success it has, as I feel that everyone was enjoying themselves, possibly making it more entertaining to watch. Eileen, Year 9

Everyone felt so involved in the show for example the ensemble members could also take on other roles such as the builders, puppeteers, dentist patients etc. Claire, Year 9

I think everyone being committed to their roles and having individual rehearsals according to different roles made it so successful since everyone just knew what they were doing, and you get to focus on your ‘bit’ and your ‘bit’ only by not wasting time. Jiwon, Year 9

I particularly enjoyed the ensemble pieces as the energy in them was really strong. Mattia, Year 9

It was so fun to work with the LSOH crew... It’s a shame that LSOH is already done! Christina, Year 8

I have had the pleasure of attending a great number of productions during my time in education, but I can honestly say the production of Little Shop of Horrors was the best I have ever seen. Seeing such a diverse range of students showcasing such a wide array of skills made me extremely proud to be Head of this wonderful school. There were many times during the performances I looked at the faces of the performers and the audience and I saw pure joy, this is not something I have experienced at any performance I have ever attended before. Manycongratulations to the cast, crew, support staff, choreographers, musicians, set designers and most of all to Mr Morris. This performance will certainly light a spark of interest in our students for future productions. Paul Kelly, Head of Secondary
