Next week, we will be embarking on live lessons through our Virtual School Experience and this marks a new development which aims to enhance interactivity amongst our students and staff, which will both support their learning in specific areas, but importantly will also provide the opportunity for them to speak to and listen to each other. This can only be a positive in terms of their wellbeing. Our teams in the Primary and Secondary schools have sent through details on how our children will be able to access these sessions with their teachers and I do hope that they will enjoy the new model as we move forward. Doubtless, there will be further challenges as we make these changes, please do remember that our staff are on hand to help and answer any questions that you may have.
Being part of the Nord Anglia family of schools does benefit our students at BISS through our collaboration with MIT, Juilliard, the Global Campus and all the other support structures that can be found in a large organisation. We have seen this in the wide variety of resources, learning platforms and activities that have been available to our pupils. The link below will take you to some resources which you may find useful – some tips on home learning for instance. I am sure that you are already well practised at this already, but there may be some ideas here that you will be able to use.
In the meantime, thank you for your ongoing commitment to the BISS community and for supporting your friends and families around the world as we continue to demonstrate our resilience and ambition at this unique time in our lives.
