Max graduated in 2013 with BA (Hons) at University of Cumbria in Primary Education. He chose to specialise in English and has used that in his experience of teaching children with English as an additional language. Max has taught in both Key Stages. After completing his first year of teaching in England he moved to Madrid to seek new challenges and adventures. He was part of a team that worked in a new school where he assisted in creating assessment documentation and writing policies whilst working as class teacher in Key Stage 1. After leaving that school, he moved to an established school where he worked in Key Stage 2. Max joins the British International School of Shanghai community with 5 years of teaching experience.
Max is from Bolton, Lancashire in England. He is an adventurous person who likes new challenges and the prospect of being able to try something new. Outside of work, Max enjoys watching and playing football (when he isn’t nursing an injury). He is a supporter of Atletico Madrid. He likes to keep fit by going to the gym. He comes to Shanghai with his partner Hannah and he is looking forward to the opportunity to see China and other countries in Asia with her.
