House Parents

In residency alongside our pupils in their boarding houses, our House Parents are your child’s first port of call.

No matter how ideal the greater environment of a child’s upbringing, a strong immediate support system and close role models are vital to their academic and personal growth. Under the care of our attentive House Parents and their assisting House Tutors, this necessity is far from overlooked at Collège du Léman. Much more than simply surrogate caregivers, they are mentors, counsellors and friends, available round the clock for any need, be it emotional, academic or practical.

A sea of diversity which mirrors the cultural variety of their charges, our House Parents represent numerous countries, from the UK to Ecuador and Romania to Angola. Educated in a vast range of subjects spanning neuroscience to theatre and almost everything in between, they are selected for their empathy, perception and enthusiasm. Patient and humorous, yet always thoroughly in control of their students, they are the glue which ultimately bonds each of our house families together.

Perhaps their influence is best described by two of our boarders:

This House makes me feel like my home because my House Parents greet me in the morning and take care of me by helping to plan my future with me. Crystal, USA
Our House Parents are very understanding and want to make sure we are the best we can be – they care a lot! Lucas, Brazil

With mentors like these, it’s no wonder that our boarders are guaranteed to blossom in their second home.
