    Pauline Nord

    Director General

    Pauline Nord

    Mrs. Nord has been with CDL since 1987 and has been instrumental in helping to drive the school’s success. During her time at the school, Mrs. Nord has held a number of senior positions, including the Middle School Math Coordinator, the Director of Primary & Preschool as well as more recently Academic Director.

    As Director of Primary & Preschool, Mrs. Nord introduced the bilingual programme, which is now in place from PS0 to Grade 7. She was responsible for the introduction of the International Primary Curriculum, which has spread to include Preschool and Middle School.

    Upon taking up the role of Academic Director in 2014, Mrs. Nord was responsible for creating and leading the Academic Leadership Team which aims to provide a clear academic vision. She has also led the project to become an Apple Distinguished School.

    Prior to joining CDL, Mrs. Nord worked as a Mathematics and Sports Teacher at Institute Le Rosey. She has a Diploma in Primary Teaching from Edinburgh University and a Certificate of Advanced Educational Leadership from Harvard Graduate School of Education.

    Mrs. Nord's goal is to continue to build the excellent school community and help the students continue to achieve outstanding academic results, as the new Director General of Collège du Léman.

    Justin Usher

    Director of Boarding

    Justin Usher

    Justin joined Collège du Léman in August 2012, having previously been Head of Boarding at Cranbrook School in England from 2005.

    Having graduated from the London School of Economics, Justin qualified as a Mathematics Teacher with a PGCE from Canterbury Christ Church College in 1995. He worked in schools in the UK as a Teacher, a Housemaster, and as Head of Sixth Form.

    He is passionate about providing the best care and facilities to support our students in the Boarding Community to excel, not just in the classroom but in all areas of their lives.

    Director of Operations

    Laure Votteler

    Laure Votteler joined the finance department at CDL, in January 2013.

    Previously she has held several financial positions for 15 years with Lexmark International in France and Belgium. She has also worked for SITA Worldwide HQ in Geneva for 4 years as a Senior Business Controller. Laure has a Master in Management from EDHEC Business School in Lille, France.

    Laure has 2 kids who are studying at CDL and is keen on dancing, travelling, fine arts and architecture.

    Executive Principal

    James Bearblock

    After experiencing several years of teaching and boarding life in England, James moved across the English Channel to teach in schools in Switzerland and then France. On arrival at CDL in 1990 he was appointed as a chemistry teacher, in 1993 as Head of Science, in 2000 as High School Principal and in 2011 as Director of Secondary Studies before taking up his current post as Director of School Advancement.

    Educated at the University of Exeter and the University of Cambridge, UK, James’ ongoing professional development led to the award of a Certificate of International School Leadership in 2002 followed by a Masters in Education in 2007.

    James employs his deep interest in international education, fully comprehensive knowledge of CDL and desire to engage with students and colleagues alike to facilitate and help drive school improvement.
