International Women’s Day

Last Monday, March the 8^th, for International Women's Day, the Nyon campus was pleased to welcome four students' mothers who came to talk about their careers, International Women's Day and its importance. The 9th grade class was able to discover the fascinating world of teaching thanks to Mrs. Oswald. Ms. Lyarskaya gave a presentation on artificial intelligence to the 5^th grade class. Thanks to Mrs. Waters, the 6^th graders were able to discover what the World Trade Organization do. Finally, the 4^th grade class welcomed Ms. Amiguet Vercher who presented her career as an engineer and scientist. During her presentation, she took the opportunity to show the students a video. Afterwards, the class performed an experiment to help them understand the fragility of bones in cases of osteoporosis. A very enjoyable activity that really interested the children, who even asked to watch the film again in the afternoon!

The Preschool, 1^st and 2^nd grade classes organized discussion sessions on the theme "Girls can be anything they want to be". To support these discussions, the teachers used books and pictures.

This initiative was launched by the EDI (Equality - Diversity - Inclusion) committee of Collège Champittet, which aims to promote equality, diversity and inclusion within the Champittet community.
