Year 3 Sleepover
The highlight of the Year 3 calendar took place last night, the Year 3 Sleepover. Having gone home after school to get prepared the students returned to school at 6pm ready for their evening activities. The library was buzzing with excitement as the children raced off to their activities of swimming, basketball, football and tennis. Before they knew it, it was time for pizza and salad in the dining hall. Feeling satisfied and sleepy, the children then made their way upstairs to set up their bed, brush their teeth and watch a movie before drifting off to sleep.

On the whole it was a reasonably restful night but some of our Year 3 children are certainly early risers and were awake with the dawn chorus this morning. As I, and other staff, joined Year 3 for breakfast this morning the children were full of beans talking about what a great experience it had been; the only complaint was that there wasn’t a second night of sleepover! Well done to all the children your behaviour was superb and big thanks to all the staff involved.
Maths Day
On Tuesday 15 May 2018 Maths Day was celebrated in the Primary School. Mr. Callan, our maths leader worked with staff to create an exciting day of problem solving focused around measuring. The students took part in a range of maths investigations that included solve a ‘crime’ that had been committed. Fortunately, it was just a story that had been created to It was great fun and creative way of engaging in maths for students.

Pirate Assembly
As part of their topic about ‘Treasure’, F2 presented a fantastic assembly about Pirates; singing songs and telling stories they entertained us all this morning. It was lovely to see so many parents join our EYC assembly and well done F2, you spoke clearly and confidently and performed brilliantly!
Primary Live Lunch

It was wonderful to see so many students involved in our second Primary Live lunch this week. With a range of individual, group and class ensembles performing it was an extremely pleasant way to spend a lunchtime; keep an eye out for more Live Lunches next term.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend,
Ms Rebecca Carroll, Head of Primary
