Dear Parents

Welcome back from the holidays.  For some of our students (and staff) their holiday was disrupted by IBDP and IGCSE exams. Fortunately, the students reported that their IGCSE ICT and IBDP Business, Korean and Vietnamese exams went really well. Let’s hope that the remainder of the exams, which will continue into June, go equally well.

Everyone else should be revising, too!

Students not in Year 11 or Year 13 may have enjoyed a long holiday but they are now back at school and should begin planning their revision for the end of year exams. From next week, teachers will be sharing advice on the best way to prepare for the exams.  However, in the meantime, students and parents might want to read Nicola Witton’s (Assistant Head of Teaching and Learning) excellent article on exam revision, which we published, last month.

BIS Promises to Banish Away Examination Blues

We have some great opportunities for the children to excel outside of the classroom in term three. On the 18 May, we will be holding auditions for this year’s Blistonbury Music Festival, which will be on Friday 1 June.  We launched the promotion of this event today.

On Saturday 2 June, we are hosting a codeathon, as we hope to inspire the next generation of computer scientists. We will also be making a splash at the Hanoi Athletic Conference swimming gala. These events, along with our Extra Curricular programme will provide the kids with plenty of excitement in term 3 and banish away any examination blues.

Have a lovely weekend.
