On Friday, we organised the Phase 2 Exhibition where parents could come and get a good idea of the work students in Year 3&4 have been doing this term. Additionally, this was an opportunity for Phase 2 children to develop and practice their English-speaking skills.

The exhibition took place in each Year 3 & Year 4 classrooms as well as in the corridor where all of the students’ work was on display. Our students were well prepared, and they were ready to apply their speaking skills to a wider audience in a ‘real’ life situation. The parents had many questions for the students about their work at school and they were excited to be able to practice their English outside of a standard classroom environment.

For Year 3, the parents had the chance to challenge our Maths experts, Science experts, Rainforest experts and Literacy experts while they performed ‘The Storm Unicorn’ – their Talk 4 Writing’s exercise. The parents and students were very interested and had a fun session learning how to make a 3D lizard.

For Year 4, beside Maths, Literacy and Science experts, the parents could also explore student’s works through Active Planet experts. They learnt about volcanoes through our 3D Models and how to do Volcano Doodle Art. Talk 4 Writing’s performance of Year 4 students was “Elf Road” and it highlighted the abilities of our students.

Besides the exhibition, parents and students also enjoyed some special musical performances from Year 3 & 4 students that they had spent several weeks practicing and put full effort into.
