Wednesday (9th October) lunch time saw the return of our termly Live Lunch concert series with students from Secondary taking to the stage in the school’s central reception area.

The programme opened from a fanfare-esque performance of Alan Silvestri’s Theme from The Avenger’s by Brass Club. Next up was Min Jun from year 7, who treated us to a sensitive rendition of Alan Menken’s A Whole New World from Aladdin. The first of two pop performances was by Won Ho from year 9, who’s vocal control and tone wowed the audiences as he sung Say Something, this was followed by a clever song arrangement of It’s You by year 7’s Fina, Han, Rie and Ji Min.

Next we were treated to two instrumental performances, first a Studio Ghibli theme, Merry-go-round of Life from Hana and Mizuki on flute and piano, followed by the newly formed Flute Choir who performed two short traditional melodies.

To round off the concert we had the 10S Singers, Hanh Linh, Nhu Anh, Khanh Linh, Thien Huong, and Minh Chau, who’s close vocal harmonies in their performance of I’ll Be There demonstrated why this self-led group is beginning to make a name for itself around the school. Well done to all the performers and thank you to all those who supported the event both in school and through watching the live stream.

If you would like to watch the performances then please click here to watch the Facebook Live feed.

Live Lunch returns next week on Wednesday 16th October when it is Primary’s turn to shine!
