Day 1: Swimming & Athletics

Day one is always the hardest day because it’s the longest day with a full swimming gala in the morning and an athletics competition in the afternoon. 6 am breakfast and then straight on to the bus to the swimming! Everyone did an incredibly proud and showed excellent perseverance in a very hard swimming competition. Megan was our only medallist in the 50m butterfly! Everyone was cheering each other on all morning and had a great time.

The afternoon got off to a great start with a medal in the high jump and a personal best score for Trang Ngoc. The medal count just kept going up and up throughout the afternoon. Everyone worked their absolute hardest all afternoon and we couldn’t be more proud of their efforts. We finished our day with a team dinner at Thanyapura and departed back to our hotel to pack our bags and get some sleep ready for Day 2! T-ball, up next!

We will update again later today.

The B team managed to secure a silver medal and our other three teams were just outside of a medal place, showing determination and resilience to come back from narrow defeats.

The final results were: Year 6 boys 4th, Year 5 boys 6th, Year 5 girls 5th, Year 6 girls 4th! They were so close to the medals. We were so proud of their tremendous efforts over these 3 days.
