A warm welcome to our new parents with the “Meet & Greet” session In the first week of Term 2, we held the “Meet & Greet” session for our new parents with the aim to give them a warm welcome to the BIS community. It was wonderful to see so many parents showed up and new friendships being formed.

In the first week of Term 2, we held the “Meet & Greet” session for our new parents with the aim to give them a warm welcome to the BIS community. It was wonderful to see so many parents showed up and new friendships being formed.

We were delighted to welcome new parents to our “Meet & Greet” session this morning, their enthusiastic participation led the event to a huge success. To begin the session, Ms. Karen Hanratty (Principal), Ms. Rebecca Carroll (Head of Primary) and Mr. Tim Webb (Head of Secondary) ran a presentation introducing about life at BIS Hanoi. We hope that the parents found that information useful and looking forward to another exciting term upcoming.

The highlight of the “Meet & Greet” session was when our new parents went on the school tour, led by two of our own Year 6 students: Olivia and Gyumin. Our students took parents to visit different classrooms, playgrounds, sport hall, Performing Arts area and the huge auditorium. They did a very good job in introducing to parents about our school, the curriculum we offered and how they feel when learning at BIS Hanoi. The parents had a good time touring the school and were very impressed with our students’ communication skill.

We are happy to welcome all the new parents to our BIS community and we hope you all feel belonged. At BIS Hanoi, we have a parent group called “Friends of BIS” with the aim to build our community stronger and provide opportunities for families to come together. Some of their main activities during the year are: Hanoi Old Quarter Tour, Hanoi Food Tour, Upcycling project where the parents recycle old uniforms, Fitness class, Yoga class and Vietnamese class.

Friends of BIS are really looking forward to working with all our families over the year and we hope you will join us to continue strengthening our school community. Please join the Friends of BIS Facebook group here to update all the latest news and activities.
