Final weeks are always busy and exhausting but it has been absolutely epic and I am so proud of all the achievements we have made. Added to all the other events across the year, 2015-16 has been a real year to remember.
The Year Five and Six production of ‘The Pied Piper of Hamelin’ on Wednesday evening was incredible. Your children have grown so much in their time with us, in the way they present themselves and in the knowledge of expectations upon them when on stage. They acted and sang beautifully and consistently throughout their performance. Their improvement in language, in diction and pronunciation was clear to see and huge confidence in presentation skills so evident to all watching. Well done to everyone involved and a special thanks to Mrs West who coordinated most of the event. Thank you too to all the parents who came, almost every single child was represented in the audience and it means so much to them to have your support too. Like us here, I am sure you are completely proud of the children.
As a Primary School we are preparing for our exciting move to the new building and with this comes the need to pack everything ready for the relocation. If you have ever moved home, I am sure you will sympathise with the efforts it is taking to completely pack up a school and move to a new home, even if it is just a few hundred metres away. Teachers and support staff have worked tirelessly to ensure the end of term is exciting and memorable for your children whilst also preparing for our fresh start. We can’t wait to show off our new space to you on orientation day, details of which will come to you in August.
Thank you for all your support and we look forward to working even more closely with you in 2016-17. Have a great summer, a well-earned rest for the children and staff.
Mr Nicholas West – Head of Primary
