FOBISIA Drama Festival at Bangkok

"On Thursday last week we went on a trip to Bangkok to attend the 2017 FOBISIA drama festival. There we did a lot of workshops where we focused on the work of five famous theatre practitioners; Stanislavski, Berkoff, Frantic Assembly, Brecht and Artaud. We had lots of fun attending workshops, working with other students we had never met before. My group created a final performance that focused on Naturalism and the work of Stanislavski, and my favourite part of this was the rehearsals. We discussed a lot and had to compromise a lot, but in the end I think our final performance looked fabulous!"

"Our students had an amazing time at the festival, and learned so many new skills along the way. They worked in companies to create short performances, which they then acted to an audience on the final day. I was so impressed with the confidence our students showed in performing in English to hundreds of people on the final day, and the end work was incredibly advanced and exciting to watch. They also made lots of new friends from all around Asia, and are looking forward to meeting up again at the 2018 Drama Festival!"
