Dear Parents,

This week saw the first of our Primary Live Lunch Music events where our confident young Musicians treated us to live feeds of their performances as they played in the Library.  We were able to watch them on our social media feeds and saw videos of them playing as they were projected onto a screen within the Dining Room.  It was a great way to spend our lunchtime; live music as we ate. Congratulations to all of our boys and girls for having the confidence to participate.

At the end of last week, I had the pleasure of meeting our Parent Ambassadors during our first meeting of the academic year.  There was an excellent turnout, so we were able to have a wide range of viewpoints expressed.  Thank you for liaising with your Year Group Ambassadors so that we can receive valuable feedback from you, enabling us to continue making improvements to the school.  There will be another meeting later in the term, so if you have an item for the agenda, please get in touch with your Year Group representative.  This week, the Ambassadors will receive your email addresses and will endeavor to make contact with you shortly.

We had a large number of parents in attendance at our Primary Maths Workshop early in the week, run by our Primary Maths Coordinator, Miss Phuong.  The workshop covered calculation strategies that will be used by your children over the coming year.  Although primarily designed for our new families, the workshop also provided a refresher for parents of children who had been at the school prior to this academic year.  We hope that the information you received will enable you to support your child with the Maths problem that they bring home as part of their Home Learning grids.

Finally, please could I draw your attention to our Primary Parent Handbook, found on our school website.  I include a link for your convenience.

I hope you have a restful weekend,

Warm regards,
