Student Councils visits BIS – TX campus

02 February 2015

Earlier today the Primary Student Council visited BIS – TX Campus, in the first cross-campus Student Council Meeting. The aim of the meeting was to get to know the other young representatives and build both personal and social relationships that the children could access as another source of reference when thinking about their role here at BVIS. The afternoon started with some getting to know you team games followed by a presentation from each campus on their work so far and their plans for the remainder of the school year. Our reps prepared and delivered a strong presentation detailing the work of the Student Council towards the end of last year, with our ‘Belt Up Campaign’ and this year, which started with our ‘Healthy Eating Week’. We had a couple of great team leaders who were organised, methodical and motivated. Well done Alice and Oscar! After all the presentations and discussions, we all enjoyed a picnic style lunch, before returning to BVIS. The next exciting task for the Primary Student Council is to help with the preparations for the KS2 Christmas Party, which will be held on 18th December.
