Final Week in the Primary School – June 26

26 June 2015

The last week of the academic year 2014-15 arrived and was marked by a number of special events in the Primary School.

Year 6 enjoyed their “Golden Ball” on Tuesday evening to mark that all important transition from Primary to Secondary education. We look forward to seeing these children in their Secondary School uniform in August looking grown up and excited about learning in Year 7.

Final Week1

Children from F3 to Year 5 all took part in “transfer hour” on Tuesday afternoon, getting a taste of next year’s learning with different teachers, in different classrooms.

Final Week2

F1 went on a trip to “Fun Fruit World” on Wednesday showing their readiness for greater learning opportunities in F2 next year.

Also on Wednesday, Year 5 parents were invited into school for a Lien Ket Exit Point and found out about their children’s learning during their “Ly Dynasty” topic.

As ever, the end of an academic year is tinged with sadness as we say goodbye to some of our BVIS families and staff. Many expats stay just one or two years in Vietnam, so I am particularly grateful to the BVIS founding teachers who have helped to set up, and have stayed with us, to see the establishment of the Primary School over the last four years. Our best wishes to Ms Alison, Ms Carolyn, Ms Fiona and Ms Sarah as they all return to the UK to be closer to their families and friends. We also say goodbye and good luck to Ms Thanh, and to Ms Ashleigh who is returning home to plan her wedding!

Thanks to you all for your support and interest in the Primary School this year. I wish you safe journeys if you are travelling and a happy, restful time away from school routines. We look forward to seeing all our returning and new families and staff in August.
