At BVIS, we have a strong sense of community. Our students pride themselves on being caring people with a strong sense of Vietnamese culture and perspective. That’s why we see Tet as one of the most important seasons for giving.
Each month, a group of Year 12 students visit the Que Huong Orphanage to facilitate educational games and activities for the children there. Our link with this orphanage will soon come to an end. So, to show our caring and support for these children, we will prepare a special box for each child in our annual BVIS Tet Box Appeal.
This year, each class at BVIS will be responsible for three or four children’s boxes. Students will work together to collect small donations to fill each box. Teachers, parents and students will be given a list of appropriate items for donation later this week. These lists will also appear on the Primary and Secondary foyer screens, as well as on the Primary class blogs.
Following the collection, students will decorate each box differently, so that all of the children at Que Huong receive their personalised gift for Tet.
We look forward to celebrating this special season of giving with this community initiative. Thank you in advance for your support.
