On Monday Ms Lan will be returning from her amazing adventures in the Antarctica. We are all looking forward to welcoming her back and hearing about her travels and I’m sure she will have many great stories and information to share with our school community and beyond. I shall be at the airport to welcome her home and thank her for her efforts in promoting our school cause.
It is around this time of year that parents also consider sending their children abroad early to study. I was interested to read an article recently that set out some of the pitfalls and major considerations in making this decision with your child. We regularly meet and talk with colleges and universities around the world and the key message they send us is very clear. They explain to us that they would prefer a student to complete their academic studies in full in whatever schooling system they are in before embarking on college or university education abroad. I have inserted a link to the article below for you to read.
A huge thank you to all those parents who took the time to complete the parent survey. Your feedback is invaluable to us as a school. Once we have received the final results and the data has been analysed, then we will share the main findings with you. The results from last year were useful in helping us develop the school further and many of the changes we have made this year and beyond were as a direct result of feedback from you as parents.
Finally I am pleased to announce that the Secondary students under the direction of our amazing Mr Williams are making final preparations for their performance of ‘One More Day’. The performances will take place on Wednesday 27th and Thursday 28th April and tickets are now on sale. This promises to be an outstanding production and I hope many of you will be able to afford the time to come and support our talented students.
I wish you all a very relaxing weekend.
