Mr. Paul Holyome Weekly Update - 13/10/2017

13 October 2017

Dear parents

A big thank you to you all for your support whilst we are working to push for a resolution with regard to the poor state of the road near to the school. We have formally written to the authority and people’s committee to as promised and we are awaiting a response. We are hoping that they will repair the road asap and speed up the work that they are carrying out down the centre of the road. We will continue to push this agenda over the coming days and weeks.

As you know we are always seeking to keep our children safe. Next Thursday and Friday Mr Jonathan Taylor will be visiting the school. He is travelling here from the UK to work with our school. He is an international expert on online safety and works with children and adults around the world to offer advise on how to keep safe online. Mr Taylor is hosting a parent seminar on Thursday 19th and it would be great to see you there.

Finally, I am delighted to announce that on the 21 and 22 of October our school will be hosting the FOBISIA Teacher Conference. This is a very prestigious event and well over 100 teachers from across Asia will travel to our school. As well as some great keynote speakers, there will also be many workshops sharing good teaching practices that will be hugely beneficial to all involved. We have many teachers attending the event and it promises to be a great occasion for the school.

I wish you all a very relaxing weekend.

Paul Holyome
