F1 and F2 go on a trip

This week parents received a letter from our principal, Mr Paul Holyome, about the annual parent survey. In this he reported that the school’s work in areas identified in last year’s parent survey has resulted in an increase in parental satisfaction. He wrote:

“Satisfaction with the range of trips and visits has risen substantially.”

In the BVIS Primary School, all our children participate in trips. Day trips are provided throughout the year and in every age group, even for our youngest children. For our older children we provide overnight residential trips too.

This week our 2 year olds in F1 went on their very first school trip to the botanical gardens and zoo! F2 joined them, linking to their topic of “Rumble in the Jungle”. F1’s current topic is “Transport” and so they were able to ride in a bus and tram during this trip.

Learning beyond the classroom with first hand experiences is valued here at BVIS and helps our children to gain in confidence and independence.
