At the weekend, a group of older students attended the Model United Nations (MUN) conference here in Saigon. This is an extremely prestigious event, and one highly though of by universities across the world. The students all acquitted themselves well. Our thanks to Mr Livesey and Ms Allan for developing the MUN club this year and I’m sure it will go from strength to strength.

On Wednesday, it was time for the final of BVIS Masterchef 2017. After seven weeks of cooking we were down to the last two pairs, fighting it out for the much-vaunted Masterchef Trophy and priceless BVIS Masterchef aprons… Winners to be announced next week!

The Have a Heart campaign continues apace, and we have so far raised over 80,000,000VND! Thank you so much for your generosity. The exhibition itself ends today, so please do collect your artwork from the reception. There will be calendars and wristbands going on sale next week so let’s try to hit that magic 100 million mark!
Finally, a wonderful story about two of our students this week. Dang Khanh Linh, 6B and his brother Dang Anh Quan, 10V, have illustrated a new book – “AHHV Special Team” written by Le Anh Xuan. He is a 15 year old boy who suffers from Osteogenesis imperfect, or Crystal bone syndrome, with proceeds of the book’s sales going to victims of Agent Orange. It’s another example of the generosity of spirit of our young people, and we are so proud of both.
Have a lovely weekend.
Dang Khanh Linh, 6B & Dang Anh Quan, 10V – for wonderful work illustrating the children’s book.
Nguyen Tran Gia Han, 7S - for confidently sharing lots of fantastic ideas in science this week.
