Coming back to Vietnam after a short study in Australia, Ms Yen Tran – our Year 6 teacher originally started her teaching career within NAE with the role of Head TA at BIS HCMC. She progressed to a Vietnamese Support teacher and fully qualified teacher in charge of Primary classes at BVIS HCMC. The Be Ambitious philosophy surely inspires both students and teachers within NAE where learning has no limits. Whilst showing a great enthusiasm in her daily teaching at BVIS HCMC, Ms Yen continuously looked for further challenges to improve further and enrich her knowledge and skills. She soon gained the opportunity to follow the prestigious MA programme at King’s College London.
*King's College London is ranked in the top 10 UK universities in the world (QS World Rankings 2020) and based in the heart of London.
Feeling fortunate to be given this opportunity, Ms Yen shared that the CPD has had a huge positive impact on her teaching pedagogy.
“The two trips to London during the course were a real highlight. London in summer and winter is extremely different and the history of the college building is great. Putting faces to names and getting to really work with people from NAE schools all over the world was just fantastic!
Everyone was very supportive towards each other as we all experienced the same challenges. The work was extremely challenging but the support of peers on the course really made it feel more fun and interesting," Ms Yen shared.
The course has prepared Ms Yen well for taking on other roles of responsibility at BVIS HCMC.
