The local community plays a significant role within the British Vietnamese International School, both in terms of raising awareness of important issues through our curriculum, and in the form of voluntary work to improve the local community.

Our community service programme includes projects from all key stages, across both the primary and secondary schools, ensuring that there is whole school commitment to improving the local community. These projects are overseen by the school’s Community Coordinators, who support students and teachers to start and run projects and to raise funds where necessary. The school believes that donating time and energy is more beneficial for our students than simply raising funds, so the majority of projects are designed to facilitate this.
