I completed my studies and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Florida International University in December of 1998. Fortunately I was able to move to Costa Rica and take some time off to take care of my newborn daughter, a few years after that I decided to embark on my nursing career and started working as a Registered Nurse in 2002 on the Med-Surg floor in Clínica Bíblica where I took care of patients recovering from surgery, chronic medical conditions, and many other health conditions. I later moved with my family to the U.S. where I worked in the Emergency Room as an R.N. from 2003 till 2011. This experience was very rewarding for both my personal and professional growth.
By that time my family and I decided to move back to Costa Rica for personal reasons. I have now been working as the school nurse, in Country Day School for the past 7 years. I really enjoy my job and all the many exciting experiences it has brought me. I take on every challenge openly to make sure I can handle each situation appropriately. I have learned many aspects of Pedatric Nursing and truly feel rewarded for all that I do each day. I am also very thankful for all the people that have touched my life during these last 9 years and hope to continue in my endeavor for many more years to come.
